L’Assemblée des experts iranienne a désigné Mojtaba Khamenei, le fils de l’ayatollah Ali Khamenei, comme nouveau Guide suprême le 8 mars. L’annonce a été accueillie avec des scènes de liesse populaire dans la capitale Téhéran et partout dans le pays par des chants et des drapeaux agités dans un contexte de frappes israélo-américaines contre l’Iran.
